wlan background scan mode (client)
Description
With this command, you specify how the client scans for further access points.
Note
This command is only
available in the client mode.
You are in the Interface Configuration mode of the WLAN interface.
The command prompt is as follows:
cli (config-if-wlan-0-X)#
Call up the command with the following parameters:
wlan background scan mode { disable | idle | always }
The parameters have the following meaning:
As long as the client is connected, it does not scan for any other access points.
If there is no data traffic for a certain time, the device scan
s for a different access
point.
Continuous scanning for further access points. With the "wlan background
scan interval" command, you specify the scan interval.
Scanning for further access points is specified.
You display the setting with the show wlan client <wlan 0/X> command.
