Call up the command with the following parameters:
spanning-tree mst{instance-id<instance-id(1-64)>}root
The parameters have the following meaning:
Number of the instance 1 ... 64
The "root bridge" function is disabled.
You enable the root bridge function with the spanning-tree mst instance-id root command.
You display this setting and other information with the commands that start with
show

spanning-tree mst max-hops
Description
With this command, you configure the maximum number of nodes (hops) that a path can run
through in an MST.
You are in the Global Configuration mode.
The command prompt is as follows:
cli(config)#
Call up the command with the following parameters:
spanning-tree mst max-hops <value(6-40)>
The parameter has the following meaning:
Maximum number of hops that a path
can run through in an MST
