3.6.3 REASSEMBLING THE BELT UNIT AND BELT CLEANING

Before You Begin...
Here are some important precautions you should obey when reassembling the ITB Unit.
When you install the new belt, the edge of the belt with the encoder film strip must be
at the back of the unit with the image position sensor. The encoder edge of the ITB is
silver.
Never touch the ITB rollers when removing/installing the belt. If a roller (or the surface
of the belt) is touched accidentally, moisten a clean cloth and clean the affected area.
