6.5.1 OVERVIEW

The light reflected from the original is sent to the CCD:
1st Mirror> 2nd Mirror> 3rd Mirror> Lens Block> CCD
The lens block consists of the scanner lens and SBU (CCD). The CCD converts the light
that was reflected from the original and converts it to three color analog signals (R, G, B).
The SBU converts the analog signals to digital signals, then sends the digital signals to the
IPU.
The lens block is always replaced as a unit and requires no adjustment in the field.
