A cal unit characterization can be performed in a frequency sweep. The "Characterize
Cal Unit" dialog is unavailable while a "Power", "CW Mode", or "Time" sweep is active.
The analyzer always uses a fixed source power of -10 dBm to acquire the characteri-
zation data.

Calibration Unit
Displays the connected calibration units. The R&S ZNB/ZNBT auto-detects all calibra-
tion units which are connected to one of its USB ports. If several cal units are connec-
ted, one of them must be selected for characterization (active cal unit).

Authentication
Allows you to set a password to protect the characterization dialog and the Characteri-
zation wizard from unauthorized access and operation. "Set Password..." opens a dia-
log to enter the password and activate password protection at the next time the "Set
Password" dialog is opened. Enter an empty string (no password) to deactivate pass-
word protection.
Tip: A password also blocks a switchover of the active characterization during calibra-
tion; see "Characterization" on page 451.
