 Check the connections between the FCU,
NCU, & line.
 Check for line noise or other line
problems.
 Replace the NCU or FCU.
 The remote machine may be defective or
may have disconnected.

more than the acceptable
modem carrier drop time

 Check the line connection.
 Check the FCU - NCU connectors.

 Try adjusting the acceptable modem
carrier drop time.
