TROUBLESHOOTING Fax Function 297
PROTOCOL MONITOR LIST
Changing a certain system parameter setting is required to print the Protocol Monitor
List.
When a fax transmitting/receiving job is performed with the list printing enabled,
control protocols (ITU-T.30 protocols) used for the jobs are monitored and printed out
for every job.Verifying the protocols (signals, commands) printed on the list enables to
analyze an error occurrence timing and status.
The contents of the list are as follows.
 Common header
 Fax job result information
 Software version
 Trace data
 Lap time
 Transmitted signal names
 Direction (transmitting or receiving)
 Received signal names
 FCF (Facsimile Control Field)
 FIF (Facsimile Information Field)
The [Protocol Monitor List] can be printed out by changing the parameter setting as
follows.
The system parameter: REP_PROTOCOL_OUT
Maintenance code (Main-Sub): 330-001
Setting value: 0 = Not print (default)
1 = Only when an error occurs
2 = Print always
