4.4.2.2 E CLUTCH UNIT
REMOVAL
1. Remove the Scanner. (p306)
2. Remove the ADF Unit. (p481)
3. Remove the ADF COVER R. (p492)
4. Remove the PAPER GUIDE ASSY. (p526)
5. Remove the ADF COVER C. (p496)
6. Remove the ADF BASE ASSY. (p498)
7. Release the hook of the GEAR 20T, and remove the GEAR 20T.
8. Remove the two screws (M3 x 8 mm, P-type, A-head) that secure the CLUTCH
FIX PLATE.
9. Release the CLUTCH FIX PLATE from the guide pin of the ADF BASE, and
slide the CLUTCH FIX PLATE leftward.
10. Pull out the TRANSFER SHAFT leftward from the hole on the ADF BASE.
11. Pull out the CLUTCH SHAFT from the MAGNETIC CLUTCH.
12. Release the harnesses of the MAGNETIC CLUTCH from the notch of the ADF
BASE, and remove the MAGNETIC CLUTCH. See Figure 4-186.
