VLAN view, VLAN interface view
Parameter
text: Description string to be assigned to the current VLAN or VLAN interface.
z The description string of a VLAN comprises 1 to 32 characters and defaults to the
ID of the VLAN (for example, VLAN 0001).
z The description string of a VLAN interface comprises 1 to 80 characters and
defaults to the name of the VLAN interface (for example, Vlan-interface1
Interface).
Description
Use the description command to assign a description string to a VLAN or a VLAN
interface.
Use the undo description command to restore the default description string.
Related command: display vlan, display interface Vlan-interface.
Example
# Configure VLAN 2 to be the management VLAN and specify the description string of
the VLAN 2 interface to be RESEARCH.

System View: return to User View with Ctrl+Z.
