# Configure the system to run loopback detection on all VLANs of the Ethernet1/0/1
port (suppose it is a trunk or hybrid port).
<Quidway> system-view
System View: return to User View with Ctrl+Z.

Syntax
mdi { across | auto | normal }
undo mdi
View
Ethernet port view
Parameter
across: Sets the port to support MDIX.
auto: Sets the port to support auto-MDI/MDIX.
normal: Sets the port to support MDI.
Description
Use the mdi command to set port MDI attribute.
Use the undo mdi command to restore the default setting.
By default, the port MDI attribute is auto.
Example
# Set the MDI attribute of Ethernet1/0/1 to across.
<Quidway> system-view
System View: return to User View with Ctrl+Z.
[Quidway] interface Ethernet1/0/1
[Quidway-Ethernet1/0/1] mdi auto
