Console Keys in a Keyboard - Hotkeys (8.0)
These are the keyboard equivalents of the console keys. If you are using an offline editor they allow
you to access most of the functionality directly, as if you had a console.
NOTE
Mac Note, especially MacBook users: Apple offers many different keyboards
on their products. On Macs with a CONTROL key, this key often takes the
place of the key shown above. To use the keyboard shortcuts in the best
possible way, an external expanded keyboard is required. On the MacBook
this reduces the conflicts with the many features associated with the Function
keys (F1-F12).
The external keyboard will control Cobalt regardless of Exposé/Spaces
settings while the internal keyboard will continue to perform special
functions like brightness/volume/etc. Additionally, the expanded DELETE
key (not Backspace) is required for the INSERT command in Cobalt and the
numeric keypad is required for channel selection and level setting.
If you are using a desktop or a laptop without an external keyboard, please
adjust your Keyboard settings to use Function keys as normal function keys
(not special functions) and use the Console Mimic tab.
We recommend Apple-compatible keyboards with Apple symbols/layout and
the expanded arrow/navigation keys and numeric keypad.
