1.2 VLAN-VPN Configuration
1.2.1 Configuration Prerequisites
z GARP VLAN registration protocol (GVRP), GARP multicast registration protocol
(GMRP), intelligent resilient framework (IRF), neighbor topology discovery
protocol (NTDP), spanning tree protocol (STP), 802.1x and centralized MAC
address authentication function are disabled on the port.
z The port is an access port.
Caution:
z The VLAN-VPN function is unavailable to a port if any of the protocols among GVRP,
GMRP, IRF, NTDP, STP, 802.1x and centralized MAC address authentication
function is enabled on the port.
z By default, STP and NTDP are enabled on a device. You can disable these two
protocols using the stp disable and undo ntdp enable commands.
z The VLAN-VPN function is unavailable to all the ports of a device if the fabric
function is enabled on a port of the device.
