To define an authentication key for Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP), use the
sntp authentication-key command in Global Configuration mode. To restore the
default configuration, use the no form of this command.

sntp authentication-key
key-number
md5
key-value
encrypted sntp authentication-key
key-number
md5 encrypted-
key-value
no sntp authentication-key
key-number
Parameters

key-number
—Specifies the key number. (Range: 1–4294967295)
•
key-value
—Specifies the key value. (Length: 1–8 characters)
•
encrypted-key-value
—Specifies the key value in encrypted format.
