Requirement
You are in the Global configuration mode.
The command prompt is as follows:
cli(config)#
Syntax
Call the command without parameter assignment:
router rip
Result
Routing with RIP is enabled.
You are now in the Router configuration mode.
The command prompt is as follows:
cli (config-rip)#
Further notes
You disable the RIP protocol with the no router rip command.

Description
With this command, you disable the RIP protocol.

This command is available only in layer 3 (IPv4).
