The virtual link is removed.
You create virtual links with the area virtual link command.
You display information about the virtual link with the
show ip ospf virtual command.
compatible rfc1583
Description
With this command, you enable compatibility with RFC 1583. Use the command if you still
have old OSPFv2 routers in operation that are not compatible with RFC 2328.
Note
This command is available only with layer 3.
You are in the OSPF Router configuration mode.
The command prompt is as follows:
cli(config-ospf)#
Call the command without parameters:
compatible rfc1583
The compatibility with RFC 1583 is enabled.
You disable the compatibility with the no compatible rfc1583 command.
You can display the status of this function and other information with the
show ip
ospf
command.
