ip address (interface configuration)
To assign an IP address to a Gigabit Ethernet interface, use the ip address command in interface
configuration submode. To remove the IP address, us the no form of the command.
ip address address netmask
no ip address address netmask

Defaults None.

Examples The following example assigns an IP address to a Gigabit Ethernet interface.
switch# config terminal
switch(config)# interface gigabitethernet 1/2
switch(config-profile)# ip address 10.5.1.1 255.255.0.0

use-profile profile-id
Configures the interface using an existing profile ID from 1 to 255.
