Description
With this command, you configure the interface as a switch port.
Requirement
● The Interface is shut down.
● You are in the Interface configuration mode.
The command prompt is:
cli(config-if-$$$)#
Syntax
Call the command without parameters:
switchport
Result
The interface is configured as a switch port. Activate the interface again.
Further notes
You shut down the interface with the shutdown command.
You activate the interface with the
no shutdown command.
You configure the interface with the
no switchport command.
You can display the status of this function and other information with the
show ip
interface
command.
