With this command, you assign an IP address.
You are in the VLAN configuration mode.
The command prompt is as follows:
cli(config-vlan-$$$)#
Call up the command with the following parameters:
ip address <ip-address> {<subnet-mask>| / <prefix-length(0-32)>}
The parameter has the following meaning:
Specify a valid IP address.
Enter a valid subnet mask.
Decimal representation of the mask as
0 ... 32
For information on names of addresses and interfaces, refer to the section "Auto-Hotspot".
The IP address is assigned.
Note
Effectiveness of the command
The command is effective immediately. If you configure the interface via which you access
the device, the connection
will be lost!
You delete the setting with the no ip address command.
