You display this setting and other information with the show dnsclient information
command.
With this command, you start the DNS client of the device. To be able to use the function, a
DNS server must be reachable.
You are in the DNS CLIENT configuration mode.
The command prompt is as follows:
cli(config-dnsclient)#
Call the command without parameter assignment:
no shutdown
The DNS client of the device is enabled and when necessary sends queries to the DNS
server.
You end the DNS client with the shutdown command.
You display this setting and other information with the
show dnsclient information
command.
Commands in the DNS PROXY configuration mode
This section describes commands that you can call up in the DNS PROXY configuration
mode.
In the Global configuration mode, enter the
dnsproxy command to change to this mode.
● If you exit the DNS PROXY configuration mode with the
exit command, you return to the
Global configuration mode.
● If you exit the DNS PROXY configuration mode with the
end command, you return to the
Privileged EXEC mode.
