12.1 Organize article data
PLU number (also: article number)
Article data can be entered in article data tables
. The article data tables can be saved un-
der PLU numbers (PLU = parameter look up) and - depending on configuration - customer
numbers.
Administrating articles with reference to product group
The product group number can be saved under article data. The prices and weight per
product group are added via the product group number concerning the prices and weights
per product group that can be printed on a totals label per product group.
Administrating articles with reference to customer number
If you wish products to be labeled differently depending on the customer, then activate the
customer number by presetting the number of digits, see page 135. Then the article data
of a PLU number can be saved under different customer numbers. To call up an article the
PLU and customer number need to be entered with this configuration.
Modular structure of the article data
The article data have a modular structure. The modular structure makes it possible to use
the created data for different articles. The following data can be saved under parameter
numbers in respective database tables and assigned to the articles.
General texts, see page 176
Variable date texts, see page 184

Scope of application of article data in system network
With devices which are integrated in the system network, a database is defined for each
attribute, no matter if it applies to all devices within the system network or just the current
device.
The following settings are possible:
"off": The attribute is deactivated.
"global": The attribute is available in all devices within the network. It has
the same value for all devices in the system network.
