30.4 Systembus
The systembus connects devices in a system network. It operates via profibus or Ethernet.
Each connected device has a unique systembus address.
The systembus is set up by Bizerba Service. For further information
please contact your Bizerba consultant or Bizerba Service
.
30.5 TCP/IP (Ethernet)
Your device is fitted with an Ethernet card to connect up to a TCP/IP network for Client/
Server operations
. To send and receive GxNet telegrams via Ethernet, you will need the
"ETHERNET" license.
30.5.1 Set up ID address
Give each device in the TCP/IP network its own IP address. The IP address is split up into
three blocks of 3 bytes each. During input
, you are switched automatically to the next block
after three digits. Use the arrow keys to access individual blocks directly in order to make
changes or to move to the next block if you have only entered two digits.
Do not enter duplicate IP addresses. A duplicate IP address will cause
errors in the network. Ask your network administrator.
Mode level: 5
<Interfaces> / <Ethernet> / <IP address>
Enter and confirm IP address.
30.5.2 Enter subnet mask
Enter the subnet mask for the local network here, in which your device is integrated. The
subnet mask has to be identical for all devices in a subnetwork
.
The subnet mask is allocated by the network administrator. This must
not be changed at a later date
. An incorrect subnet mask can cause er-
rors in the network.
Set up and input of the subnet mask correspond to the procedure for the IP address, see
page 404.
Mode level: 5
<Interfaces> / <Ethernet> / <Subnet mask>
Enter the Subnet mask and confirm your input.
