16 Date and time
16.1 Packed-on, sell-by and use-by date
You can print three dates on labels. These are usually:

Packed-on date (date 1)
– Sell-by date (date 2)
– Use-by date (date 3)
Date 1 to Date 3 can be assigned differently, see page 191. For further
information please contact your Bizerba consultant or Bizerba Service
.
Dates are entered or calculated based on the system time. On the softkeys in the display,
calculated and entered data are told apart by parentheses

Date in parentheses: calculated date
Date without parenthe-
ses:
entered date
Enter the last two digits of the year number only. If you need further dig-
its, they are inserted automatically

16.1.1 Enter date 1
Usually the system date at the time the label is printed as used as the packed-on date
(date 1). No input is required here
. If necessary, you can enter date 1.
Mode level: 2
Enter date 1
<Date> / <Set date/ time> / <Date 1>
Enter value and confirm.
16.1.2 Enter date 2
The sell-by date (date 2) is usually calculated automatically from the system date and
shelf-life days 1 entered for the PLU
. No input is required here. If necessary, you can enter
date 2.
