23.1 Weight classes
Weight-class-specific labeling enables the following functions:
–
Label packages dependent on their weight differently.
– In labelers with an integrated package separator or divider: Automatically separate
overweight or underweight packages.
– For packages in a specific weight class print an alternative label on another labeler,
e.g. double labeler.
– Check that fixed weight packages comply with the statutory stipulated tolerance range
and create corresponding statistics.
Use the weight class tables as a basis for weight-class-specific labeling. For each weight
class, enter the nominal weights, types of statistics, upper or lower tolerance limits, prices,
texts, codes, etc. in the columns of the weight class table, see page 313.
You can create different weight class tables and save them under weight class numbers in
the database. You can use the weight class number to allocate a weight class table to a
PLU, with the result that it can be accessed automatically when the PLU is changed.
To facilitate the handling of weight class tables, there are input tools available for each sta-
tistic type, that only request the data relevant to the specific statistic type and transfer them
automatically to the current weight class table, see page 320.
You can modify the weight class data for the current labeling job, see page 319.
You need the license "Prepack Regulation license" to use weight
classes and statistic types.
23.1.1 Enter the column number for the weight class tables
This function enables you to define how many columns there are in each weight class ta-
ble. By standard each weight class table has three columns
. Each column contains the da-
ta from one weight class.
If you want to work with more than three weight class columns, you
need the "WEIGHT_CLASSES" licence. This license enables you to ad-
minister up to 80 weight class columns per table
.
