25.3 Configure error behavior
25.3.1 Setting operating mode in case of error
The device counts faulty packages in succession. The causes of the error could be:

Package separation error
– Scales not at rest
– Minimum weight error
Determine here how the device should react when a prespecified number of faulty pack-
ages is reached. The following settings are possible:
"Stop" The device stops at the prespecified number of successive faul-
ty packages.
"Conv." At the prespecified number of successive faulty packages, the
device switches to transport operation.
Mode level: 1

Tap the softkey until the required setting is highlighted.
25.3.2 Set error number for automatic stop
With the following functions you can set the number of errors separately for general pack-
age errors and transmission errors after which the device should stop
, or switch to trans-
port operation, see page 356.
Mode level: 1
<Device menu> / <Error handling> / <Acc. to frequency>
Press <Stop after errors>.
Enter and confirm the number for general errors.
Press <Stop after send error>.
Enter and confirm the number of transmission errors.
25.3.3 Set the approval rights for remote-controlled lock status
A higher-ranking EDP system provides a special command (XCW_LOCK) which you can
use to stop processing (LOCK). Use this function to determine who this special lock status
can be reverted again
. The following settings are possible:
<Dialog or
XCW_LOCK>:
The release is possible on the device or via the interface on.
<Only XCW_UNLOCK>: The release is only possible on the device.
<Only via dialog>: The release is only possible via the interface.
Mode level: 5
