31.8.1 Oblique adjustment of V belts

The optimal inclination of V belts depends on the product. Find out the best adjustment by

performing tests with the product to be labeled

Indicator field

Press <Stop>.

The conveyor belts stop.

Adjust inclination of both parts of one V belt by rotating the cranks

of both adjust-

ment units.

Read the belt inclination of the front and back V belt at the indicator field

of the

respective adjustment unit

Set all back parts and all front parts of the V belt to the same values respectively by

means of the indicator field

Start the device via <Start> and perform a test run with the product to be labeled.

Repeat operation until a satisfactory result is obtained.

After V belt inclination, check labeler height adjustment and correct it, if necessary,

see page 45.

31.9 Label pressure roller

The label pressure roller can be fastened to the labeler in three different positions. Thus,

the label can be pressed on during transport on the belt independently from conveying di-

rection and labeler rotation

. Labels stick better to film-wrapped packages which are slightly

curved due to overpressure during packaging in modified atmosphere.

Thanks to its oscillating suspension, the label pressure roller is lifted by the transported

package. After pressing on the label, the label pressure roller returns to its starting posi-

tion. Since oscillation is limited, the labeler and the label pressure roller have to be adjus-

ted to the respective package height to apply sufficient pressure.
