30 Interfaces
30.1 Interface overview
The device is equipped with the following interfaces:

I/O-Port, see page 400
– Serial Interfaces, see page 400
– System bus (Profibus), see page 404
– Optional: Ethernet (TCP/IP), see page 404
Via these interfaces you can transmit or receive data and commands to and from other de-
vices.
30.2 Output port
The output to the I/O port is used to control external devices such as transportation sys-
tems or packaging machines.
The output port is set up by Bizerba Service. For further information
please contact your Bizerba consultant or Bizerba Service
.
30.3 Serial interfaces (EDP interfaces)
By standard, the device has one serial interface. If the device is fitted with an additional
interface card, two further interfaces will be available
. You can assign an application to
each serial interface. Some applications require additional settings to be made.
