17 Numbers and values
The chapter describes the following numbers and values that can be saved together with
the PLU data:

Product group number, see page 197
– Piece number per package, see page 198
– Printable numbers, see page 199
The production numbers that are independent from the article are de-
scribed in chapter "Enter production numbers
" , see page 279.
17.1 Entering product group number
You can assign a product group number to a PLU in order to enable evaluations according
to product groups. Product group totals can be calculated via the product group number
,
see page 296.
The product group number is entered as follows:
– directly in the PLU data, see page 132
– via the function described below
If a product group number is assigned to the current PLU via the PLU data, the product
group number is called up automatically with the PLU and displayed on the softkey
<Pr. group number>.
Using the function described below you can either enter or change the product group num-
ber simply for the current labeling job, or save it under the PLU number of the current arti-
cle in the database. If you save it in the database, you must ensure that the relevant attrib-
ute is approved in the PLU database, see page 132.
Mode level: 2
<Article data> / <Numbers + values> / <Pr. group number>
Enter value.
To save the value in the article data, activate field "Save in database" .
If the field is not activated, the value is only used for the current labeling job.
When saving to the database, you might have to enter a password for mode level 3
(local) or mode level 4
(global).
Press <OK>.
The entered value appears on the softkey.
