26 Manage licenses
You can acquire additional software licenses for the device. Ex works each device is given
trial licenses relating to a date and operating time
.
The following functions are available:
– Enter license code to activate licenses, see page 364
– Print list of licenses, see page 364
– Switch on or off demo or test licenses, see page 364
– Switch licenses on or off, see page 365
26.1 Activate licenses
If you acquire licensable software retrospectively, you receive a license code. With this li-
cense code you can activate the license for your device
.
Mode level: 5
<Service menu> / <System services> / <Licences>
The list of available functions appears. "Enter licence code" is highlighted.
Press <ok>.
A table is shown. If several devices exist, the table contains a row for each device.
In the column "Licence code" enter the license code for the desired device.
Close table.
If the license code is valid, the software license is activated.
26.2 Print a list of licenses
In order to obtain an overview of all activated licenses, you can print a complete list.
Mode level: 5
<Service menu> / <System services> / <Licences>
The list of available functions appears.
Select "Print licence list" and press <ok>.
The device sends data to the printer that has been configured. Activated licenses are
marked in the list with "[+]". Non-activated licenses are marked in the list with
"[-]".
26.3 Switch on/off the demo and trial licenses
You can switch off any demo or trial licenses. This allows you to check if all the functions
you required are supported without the demo and trial licenses
. If the functions you require
are not supported, you must configure your device differently, or acquire the missing licen-
ses.
