8.1.4 Setting keyboard layout
The keyboard layout is the basis for the assignment and layout of the keyboard. It has
been factory-set according to the country of destination. The following settings are possi-
ble:
– <Western Europe>
– <Cyrillic>
– <Eastern Europe>
– <Greek>
If you modify the keyboard layout, usually a different character set
needs to be set, for example Greek or Cyrillic
, see page 87.
Mode level: 2
<Etc> / <Languages & characters> / <Keyboard layout>
Select keyboard layout.
8.1.5 Setting character set
The character set that is to be used for text input can be set. Select it in accordance with
the keyboard layout
. The following settings are possible:
– <Western Europe>
– <Cyrillic>
– <Eastern Europe>
– <Greek>
– <East 2>
If the article database is configured accordingly, you may store a char-
acter set with the article data in the database
. If the article is changed,
the matching character set is automatically called up.
Mode level: 2
<Etc> / <Languages & characters> / <Character set>
Select character set.
