2.6 Verification information
The device is authorized for verifiable use. Scales that are verified to a specific calibration
area (acceleration of fall) may not be used in other calibration areas without being recali-
brated.
As per statutory conditions the device operator needs to make sure that it is only applied in
proper use , see page 30. This includes metrological requirements, especially in those ca-
ses where modifications or extensions have been made.
Non-EC countries: Please comply with the statutory terms and condi-
tions of the respective country.
2.6.1 First verification
The year of the EC verification is found on the identification plate of the device. The verifi-
cation mark on the identification plate indicates the year of the next verification due
.
2.6.2 Reverification
In accordance with the national verification terms and conditions, the operator is obliged to
take heed of the appointments set for regular reverification
. In Germany the validity of veri-
fication for scales is currently 2 years. The verification validity period begins when the
scales are put into circulation (installation and commissioning).

Protection type, temperature and air humidity
The permitted values and protection type can be found on the identification plate on the
device and in the technical data.
Vibration-free installation area
Vibrations can affect measurements made by the scale. During production, avoid any vi-
brations (e. g. fork-lift truck activities) near the device.
Aligning horizontally
To ensure the precision of the scale, it is of absolute necessity that the device is aligned
horizontally.
Draft
Drafts can affect the measurements made by the scale.
