3.4.3 Pusher to package ejection
During operation, operator may be exposed to hazards.
WARNING Crushing and impact hazard!
During automatic operation there is a risk of injuries due to impact
and trapping of fingers by the pusher
.
This may result in serious hand injuries.
– When the device is switched on, do not reach into working area of
the pusher.
– If necessary, install protective cover above pusher.
– Make sure gap between pusher and conveyor belt is not more than
4 mm.
CAUTION Pressure of compressed air of the pusher too high!
Risk of injury through strong push from pusher.
– Check permissible pressure of compressed air. The permissible
pressure is indicated on a plate at the pressure reducing valve.
The max. force of the pusher is 75 N.
When mounting the pusher the following needs to be observed:

The Pusher plate must remain above the belt body.
– The pusher must move in parallel to the belt body. Make sure gap between pusher
and conveyor belt is not more than 4 mm.
– The pusher must be mounted in a way that it is in the same position after disassembly
and re-assembly.
– The ejected packages must be collected by a suitable collecting bin.
