Excessive contact pressure will reduce the lifetime of the thermal strip.

Increase contact pressure: Turn the
knurled head screw in a clockwise direc-
tion.

Decrease contact pressure: Turn the
knurled head screw in an anti-clockwise
direction.
29.6 Printer sensor system
29.6.1 Calibrating label light barrier
You can calibrate the label light barrier at the printhead automatically.
Mode level: 5
<Printer> / <Light barriers> / <Auto. calib. LB send.cur.>
The following message appears: "Insert backing paper in printer leave printer open."
Open printhead and insert backing paper without labels.
Press <OK>.
The label light barriers will be calibrated. After calibration the following message ap-
pears: "LB adjustmentterminated
, insert paper."
Insert paper.
Close printing mechanism and device.
