20.4.3 Entering rotational angle
The piston of the piston labeler can be rotated degree by degree up to +/- 360 degrees. In
this manner the label can be applied to the package at any rotated position. The rotational
angle that is called up together with the article data, may be changed for the current label-
ing job. The modification can be saved to the database, if required.
Positive value: Label rotation in a counterclockwise direction
Negative value: Label rotation in a clockwise direction
Labeler type: <Quick piston lab.>
Mode level: 1
<Device menu> / <Labeler> / <Etc> / <Quick piston lab.> / <Angle of rotation>
Enter value.
To save the value to the database, activate the "->Database [Etc]" field.
If the field is not activated, the value is only used for the current labeling job.
Press <OK>.
To save to the database, enter and confirm a password for mode level 3 (local) or
4 (global).
20.4.4 Entering acceleration time
During the predefined acceleration time, the piston is accelerated downwards. By chang-
ing the acceleration period
, the impact force is set.
Labeler type: <Quick piston lab.>
Mode level: 1
<Device menu> / <Labeler> / <Etc> / <Quick piston lab.> / <Accelerat. time>
Enter value and confirm.
20.4.5 Entering extension time
During the predefined extension time, the piston moves at almost constant speed. Once
this time elapsed, the piston returns to the basic position
. When the labeling performance
worsens considerably, "smooth" labeling can be set by increasing the acceleration time
and decreasing the extension time.
Labeler type: <Quick piston lab.>
Mode level: 1
<Device menu> / <Labeler> / <Etc> / <Quick piston lab.> / <Extending time>
Enter value and confirm.
20.5 Rotary arm labeler
If the device is equipped with a rotary arm labeler (labeling type: <Rotary arm labeler>),
labeling can be adapted to the respective package or label using the parameters specified
below.
