"Synchronization": Only for TCP/IP. The following settings are possible:
–
"no": If the application dialog can guarantee that after each
initiatively sent telegram the sender waits for the logic
GxNet acknowledgement, an additional synchronization is
not required.
– "Receive synchronization": After sending a GxNet tele-
gram, the sender switches to receive via the socket on
which it transmitted. The receiver sends confirmation of re-
ceipt on the socket at which it received the GxNet tele-
gram. After receiving confirmation of receipt, the sender
can transmit the next GxNet telegram.
– "Transmit test + rec.syn.". Do not use.
"Conversion": Only for TCP/IP. The following settings are possible:
– "no": GxNet data are transmitted in binary (no conversion).
– "Hex-ASCII": GxNet data records are converted for trans-
mission into hexadecimal ASCII format.
– "Readable ASCII": GxNet data records are converted for
transmission into "readable" ASCII format. In the process,
a separator character and escape character can be preset.
"Separator": Only in TCP/IP with conversion into readable ASCII format. AS-
CII number of the separator character you want, e.g. 29.
"Escape character": Only in TCP/IP with conversion into readable ASCII format. AS-
CII number of the escape character you want, e.g. 64.

Enter the device IDs and channels of all the system components that are connected
to the device.
Enter the bus type and bus address for each device ID.
For bus type "TCP/IP" enter additional settings.
