Partition: Determines at which position the company prefix and item refer-
ence are separated
. Both fields together may have maximum
44 bits. In SGTIN-96, you can set how the fields are separated.
Company prefix: Manufacturer number
Item reference: Article number
Serial number: Serial number, consecutive number of a product
Code content of an EPC-96 code structure rule
When entering content for the different code contents in an EPC-96 code, you can enter
binary, hexadecimal, decimal or other selected contents. The possible code contents can
be found in the following table:
