NOTE
A default routing protocol with a local address of 169.254.0.1 always appears when the show
routing status pim-sm command is run. This internal routing protocol is a placeholder to
reserve the source-specific multicast address range.

index Synopsis: A 32-bit unsigned integer
Virtual interface index.
local-address Synopsis: A string 1 to 16 characters long
Local address.
subnet Synopsis: A string 1 to 20 characters long
Subnet.
flags Synopsis: A string 1 to 128 characters long
Flags indicates virtual interface information.
• DISABLED: The virtual interface is administratively disabled for PIM-SM.
• DOWN: This virtual interface is down.
• DR: Designated router.
• NO-NBR: No neighbor on this virtual interface.
• PIM: PIM neighbor.
• DVMRP: DVMRP neighbor.

To view the status of dynamic multicast routing, type:
show routing status multicast
