❒ The title bar displays the scanner currently being used. When multiple machines are connect-
ed, confirm that the indicated machine name is the machine to be used. If the intended ma-
chine is different, click [Select Source] to select the scanner again.
❒ If the machine to be used does not appear in the list, make sure that the IP address is con-
figured and that the machine is correctly connected to the network. If the driver is still not dis-
played in the list after the above operations, consult with your network administrator.

B Depending on the type of original or the objective for scanning, select the icon in [Mode].
• [Standard] is suitable for scanning standard originals that comprise mainly of text.
• [Photo] is suitable for scanning originals that include photos, shaded illustrations, etc.
• [OCR] is suitable for conversion processing with an OCR (Optical Character Reading) appli-
cation after scanning the original.
• [Filing] is suitable for use with filing applications, etc.
[Standard] and [Photo] are scanned in Full Color of [Mode], and [OCR] and [Filing] are scanned
in Black & White.
