3. Printed Copies
The embedded pattern (for instance, a warning such as "No Copying") in a printed document appears clearly
in printed copies.
Data Security for Copying
If this machine copies, faxes, scans, or stores in Document Server a document in which an anti-copy
pattern or text has been embedded by a device using a copy prevention function, the machine will print
gray over every page to discourage unauthorized copying. Note that if the optional Copy Data Security
unit is installed on your machine, copies of documents in which an anti-copy pattern or text has been
embedded will be completely grayed out.
• This machine cannot embed anti-copy patterns or text that will cause copies to be printed over.

The machine does not beep with a data security for copying document is detected while using the
network TWAIN scanner.
