3. Turn on the power of the machine.
Found New Hardware Wizard starts, and USB Printing Support is installed automatically.
4. In the Found New Hardware Wizard window, click [Locate and install driver software
(recommended)].
Click [Yes] or [Continue] if the [User Account Control] window appears.
5. When a message prompting insertion of the CD-ROM, insert the CD-ROM into the CD-
ROM drive.
If the [AutoPlay] dialog box appears, click the [Close] button.
6. Select the name of the machine whose driver you want to install, and then click [Next].
If the [Windows can't verify the publisher of this driver software] message appears, click [Install this
driver software anyway].
7. Click [Close].
If the installation is successful, the icon of the machine connected to the "USB001" port is added to
the [Printers] window.
• To disable Auto Run, press the left Shift key when inserting the CD-ROM into the drive and keep it
pressed until the computer finishes reading from the CD-ROM.

The number after "USB" varies depending on the number of printers connected.

• Manage Printers permission is required to install the drivers. Log on as an Administrators group
member.

You can install the printer driver from the CD-ROM provided with this machine or download it from
the manufacturer's Web site.
If the printer driver has already been installed, and plug and play is enabled, the icon of the machine
connected to the "USB" port is added to the [Devices and Printers] window.
If the printer driver is not installed, follow the plug-and-play instructions of the machine to install it from
the CD-ROM provided with this machine.
1. Check that the power of the machine is off.
2. Connect the machine and computer using a USB cable.
Connect the USB cable firmly.
