Printing a Document
This documentation describes the specific printer functions and menus that are added by installing the
PPD file.
Each printer function can be configured using the [Menu:] icons on the [Detailed Settings] tab under
Windows, or the print dialog box under Mac OS X.
Windows XP and Mac OS X 10.5 are used as examples of their respective operating system families.
Procedures for other versions of these operating systems may vary slightly.
• On a Macintosh, Mac OS X 10.2 or higher is required.
•
Applications, such as PageMaker, that have their own drivers do not support the following
functions:
• Sample Print
• Locked Print
• Hold Print
• Stored Print
• Store and Print
• Document Server
• User Code
• Depending on the version of Mac OS X, the display in the print dialog box may be different.
•
If you are using the Windows operating system, some of the settings made on the [Detailed
Settings] tab can be registered to One Click Preset List. The settings registered in One Click Preset
List can be modified from the [One Click Presets] tab also. For details about One Click Presets, see
"Making Printer Settings - One Click Presets".
