• Saving files on a removable memory device
You can save scan files on a removable memory device such as a USB flash memory or an SD
card.
For details, see chapter 5 "Saving Scan Files on a Removable Memory Device".
• When the Copy Data Security Unit is installed, if you scan an original that was printed using the
data security for copying function, the machine beeps and an entirely gray page is sent or stored.
You can use the log file to check who scanned the confidential original. For details about the data
security for copying function, consult the administrator.

This machine's scanner functions are only available as network functions. They are not available
through direct USB connection.
