Firmware Update Cautions
If IPsec is enabled, all information on the network will be encrypted. This allows you to perform
firmware updates securely.
If IPsec is not enabled, the information on the network may not be encrypted depending on the
protocol. If you want to perform a firmware update when IPsec is not enabled, be sure to do so
only if your network environment is protected against electronic eavesdropping and similar security
threats.
