1.2 Mount the NVM EPROM to the replacement PCBA.
Warning: Failure to correctly mount the NVM EPROM chip may cause damage to the system. The correct
orientation of the chip when mounted to the board is shown below. Pin 1 of the NVM EPROM chip (marked
with a circle) must be inserted to the correct slot (marked with a triangle) on the replacement PCBA.
2. Install the replacement PCBA to the machine.
Warning: Ensure that the cables are properly reconnected, or damage will occur.
3. Turn on the machine.
4. An error will occur on the system. To clear the error, press the power button on the operator panel to put
the machine in hibernate mode.
Warning: Shutting down using the operator panel button is required to update the memory settings from
the old NVM EPROM and save it to the current system. Failure to to shut down correctly may cause loss of
memory settings.
Upper redrive assembly removal
1. Open the printer left duplex door assembly.
2. Remove the left upper cover. See “Left upper cover removal” on page 4-6.
