Console Port Access Commands
This section describes the commands you use to configure the console port. You can use a serial
cable to connect a management host directly to the console port of the switch.
configure
Use this command to access Global Config mode. From Global Config mode, you can configure
various system settings, including user accounts. You can also enter other command modes,
including Line Config mode.
line
Use this command to access Line Config mode, which allows you to configure various Telnet
settings, ssh settings, and the console port.
