4.1 Overview of faults and alarms

Cause:
Describes the possible causes of the fault or alarm. A fault or alarm value can also be specified
(optional).
Fault value (r0949, format):
The fault value is entered into the fault buffer in r0949[0...63] and specifies additional, more
precise information about a fault.
Alarm value (r2124, format):
The alarm value specifies additional, more precise information about an alarm.
The alarm value is entered in the alarm buffer in r2124[0...7] and specifies additional, more
precise information about an alarm.
Remedy:
Description of the methods available for eliminating the cause of the active fault/alarm
WARNING
In certain cases, servicing and maintenance personnel are responsible for choosing a
suitable method for eliminating the cause of faults.
