The PROFIBUS DP connector (9-pin, female) has the following pin assignment:

3 RxD/TxD-P Receive/Transmit positive
4 CNTR-P Control signal for repeater, positive
5 DGND Reference potential for data exchange and +5 Vl
6 VP +5 V (power supply for the bus terminating resistors)

8 RxD/TxD-N Receive/Transmit negative
9 NC Not connected
