1.7.2.2.1 Intended Purpose
The CS31 Bus Module is used as a decentralized I/O module on CS31 field buses. The bus
connection is performed on a RS485 serial interface, which allows the connection of this module
to all existing CS31 buses. In addition, the CS31 Bus Module provides 22 I/O channels with the
following properties:
● 8 digital inputs, 24 VDC
● 8 configurable digital inputs/outputs 24 VDC, 0.5 A max.
● 4 analog inputs, voltage, current and RTD, resolution 12 bits plus sign
● 2 analog outputs, voltage and current, resolution 12 bits plus sign
The configuration is performed by software.
For usage in extreme ambient conditions (e.g. wider temperature and humidity range), a special
XC version of the device is available.
