2.6.4.6 Serial Interface COM1 of the Terminal Bases
The serial interface COM1 is connected via a removable 9-pin terminal block. It is configurable
for RS-232 or RS-485 and can be used for:
● Online access (not valid for PM56xx),
● A free protocol,
● Modbus RTU, client and server,
● CS31 system bus, as master only (not valid for PM56xx) Ä Chapter 2.6.4.8 “CS31 System
