DLP-A99 Determine Available VLANs
DLP-A99 Determine Available VLANs
Step 1 In any CTC view, click the Circuits tab.
Step 2 Click any existing Ethernet circuit.
Step 3 Click Edit, then click the VLANs tab.
The Edit Circuit dialog box shows the number of VLANs used by circuits and the total number of
VLANs available for use.
Step 4 Determine that the number of available VLANs listed is sufficient for the number of E-Series Ethernet
circuits that you will create.
Caution Multiple E-Series Ethernet circuits with spanning tree enabled block each other if the circuits traverse
the same E-Series Ethernet card and use the same VLAN.
Step 5 Return to the originating procedure (NTP).
Purpose This task verifies that the network has the capacity to support the additional
new VLANs required for the creation E-Series circuits. It does not apply
to E-Series cards in port-mapped mode.
Tools/Equipment E-Series Ethernet cards (E100T-12/E100T-G, E1000-2/E1000-2-G) must
be installed at each end of the Ethernet circuit.
