Machine the jaws that clamp the plug. Mecanice las mordazas que sujetan el taco.

Press the [Door Unlock] button, and then open the
door.

Insert the plug for shaping the jaws into the chuck to
create a condition similar to chucking a workpiece
(travel intermediate position).

Confirm that no interference occurs in steps 10. to 12.,
and close the door.

Shape the jaws so that the plug can be clamped
within the proper jaw stroke range. It is danger-
ous to clamp a workpiece in the chuck with the
jaws moved close to the stroke end.
Shaping the jaws to "plug diameter + max. jaw
stroke/2" allows the plug to be clamped at the
center of jaw stroke.
ATENCION
Moldee las mordazas para que el taco se pueda
sujetar en el rango de recorrido de mordaza ade-
cuado. Es peligroso sujetar una pieza en el plato
con las mordazas movidas cerca del extremo del
recorrido.
Mecanice las mordazas de forma que éstas
alcancen el siguiente valor "diámetro del taco +
carrera máxima de la mordaza/2", lo cual le
permitirá sujetar el taco en el centro de la
carrera de las mordazas.
When chucking the plug for shaping the jaws,
exercise due care to avoid getting your fingers
pinched.
1. The accuracy of the plug O.D. surface
must be 6S or better.
2. The plug must be sufficiently thick that it
will not be distorted.
3. Measure and record the plug O.D. or ring
I.D. with vernier calipers, a micrometer, or
a similar instrument.
4. Fit the plug on the chuck so that it is not
tilted.
PRECAUCION
Cuando monte el taco para moldear las
mordazas, tenga extremo cuidado para evitar
que sus dedos queden atrapados.

1. La precisión de la superficie de D.E. del
taco debe ser de 6S o superior.
2. El taco debe tener el espesor suficiente
como para no deformarse.
3. Mida y registre el D.E. del taco o el D.I. del
anillo con un pie de rey, un micrómetro o
un instrumento similar.
4. Coloque el taco en el plato de forma que
no quede torcido.
